Description

Wynn’s Turbo Cleaner produces an active foam to clean away deposit build up and restore the efficient operation of turbochargers in petrol & diesel engines.

  • Cleans and unblocks dirty turbocharger geometry with or without dismantling.
  • Dissolves oils, gum, tar, carbon, lacquer and varnish.
  • Restores turbo efficiency to its original activity.
  • Regains optimal air/fuel ratio.
  • Harmless to exhaust gas after-treatment systems.

Application

  • For all petrol, Hybrid & Diesel Turbo Engines
  • Do not apply to Vehicles where the intercooler is integrated into the inlet manifold.
  • Do not apply before the intercooler.
  • If excessive knocking or backfire occurs during treatment pause the application and allow the engine to idle for 3-4 minutes before recommencing treatment. If knocking persists the inlet manifold may have excessive contamination and require manual cleaning

Direction to Use

Cleaning the turbo (inlet side) without disassembly Pre-Application Checks ✓ If there are signs of excessive inlet manifold contamination manual cleaning is recommended before treatment ✓ Ensure engine is up to operating temperature Diesel Application 1. Set engine at 1,500 – 1,800 RPM 2. Apply product directly into the inlet manifold. 3. Spray in 1-2 second intervals allowing engine to stabilise in between sprays 4. After 10 applications allow engine to idle for 3 – 4 minutes 5. Repeat No. 3 & 4 above until contents of can are consumed 6. After treatment carry out an Oil System Clean (Flush) and change the engine oil and filter 7. Carry out road test, do not to exceed 2,500 RPM for the first 10 minutes Petrol Application 1. Set engine at 2,500 – 3,000 RPM 2. Apply product directly into the inlet manifold 3. Spray in 4-5 second intervals allowing engine to stabilise in between sprays 4. After 10 applications allow engine to idle for 3 – 4 minutes 5. Repeat No. 3 & 4 above until contents of can are consumed 6. Carry out road test, ensuring full use of RPM rang Cleaning a very dirty turbo (inlet and outlet side) with disassembly 1. Disassemble the turbocharger. 2. Remove the turbo in such a way that the variable geometry is visible. 3. Spray all parts well. Allow the product to soak for several minutes. 4. Spray again on the parts until all dirt is removed. It may help to use a rag or a piece of tissue to remove the dirt. 5. Dry the parts with compressed air, rag or tissue. 6. Check visually for mechanical defects. 7. Mount the turbo, with new gaskets. Best Practice After the treatment with Wynn’s Turbo Cleaner, it is recommended to carry out an Oil System Clean (Flush) and change the engine oil and filter. Then treat the fuel system to take away the cause of this dirt build-up: For petrol cars: Add one bottle of Wynn’s Petrol Extreme Injector Cleaner (W29792/W29793) to the vehicles fuel tank. For diesel cars: Add one bottle of Wynn’s Diesel Extreme Injector Cleaner (W12292/W12293/W12295) to the vehicles fuel tank. Add one bottle of Wynn’s Diesel Turbo Cleaner (W32092/W39293) to the vehciles fuel tank.
